Esosoft is the first project signed by Antonio Citterio for Cassina. A seating system that embodies the elegance and timeless style that are distinctive of the Italian designer, but which at the same time wants to be a tribute to the art of the great masters.
Esosoft is a modular sofa able to define the living space in a fluid and flexible way. His design is based on the great classics of the past and on the custom of conceiving furnishings by separating the structural part from the padded interior. In fact, Esosoft presents an aluminum exoskeleton that supports a body with an organic silhouette, on which soft cushions are placed. Its soft shapes combine past and future, recalling the sense of informal comfort typical of the 60s and using cutting-edge production techniques. Thanks to the work of Cassina LAB, Esosoft is a circular and sustainable system, in fact the materials used for its production have been designed to be disassembled and recycled at the end of its life cycle. The Esosoft collection consists of eight modules that can be used as single sofas or combined to create corner compositions, guaranteeing great flexibility in the configuration of the living space.

Antonio Citterio is among the leading names who have raised the excellence of Italian design worldwide. A brilliant architect and furniture designer, he was born in Meda in 1950 and graduated in architecture from the Polytechnic of Milan in 1975. Numerous collaborations with important artists and brands have shaped his illustrious portfolio, ranging from Vitra's Grand Sofà and ID chairs, Maxalto's Pathos, Lithos and Recipio '14, to the Ray sofa and Mirto collection for B&B Italia.
