Pila by Magis is a chair designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec with a familiar and versatile design, available in the classic version or with upholstered seat. Stackable.
Pila is a project by the Bouroullec brothers, who continue their research into minimalism with a seat that also reflects the young and versatile spirit of the Magis brand. A small wooden chair with an essential, functional and durable look. The ash plywood seat and back are supported by four ultra-thin strips of solid ash. The parts are held together by a solid, almost invisible die-cast aluminum structure, hidden under the seat.

Formal perfection, clear lines and creative freedom - these is Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec's magic formula. Born respectively in 1971 and 1976, they both graduated in Art and founded their own studio at the end of the 90s. Unity makes strenght - their Cuisine Déstructurée caught Giulio Cappellini's eye, so they received the first industrial design commissions and went on to impose themselves on the international scene thanks to a collaboration with Vitra. Bouroullec brothers work for some of the most important international design brands, such as Ligne Roset, Flos, Magis and Mattiazzi and are able to join essential shapes with innovative materials and environmentally friendly manufacturing - this allowed them to win, among other prizes, the prestigious Wallpaper* Design Award 2016 in the category "Best Designers of the Year".
