A+ Chair by Tolix is a 2018 reinterpretation of the famous A Chair, reworking measurements and other indices in a modern key, as long as this seat best meets contemporary needs while maintaining the retro and industrial look of the iconic original created by talented designer Xavier Pauchard.
A+ Chair has been optimized as a seat for standard 74/75 cm high tables, with a height of 48 cm. This variant combines comfort and style without compromising the essence of the original design. Born from the craftsmanship tradition of TOLIX workshops, the A+ chair represents the excellence of craftsmanship passed down through generations. Every detail is precisely attended to, ensuring strength and durability over time. Available in 2 exclusive finishes, bright pearl white and raw polished steel, this chair fits perfectly in any environment, giving an industrial and modern touch and representing the perfect balance between tradition and innovation.

Designed by Xavier Pauchard
Xavier Pauchard (1880-1948) was an enterprising and visionary French entrepreneur, founder in 1927 of the Tolix brand and author of the A Chair, the chair symbol of industrial design. Pauchard was one of the pioneers of galvanization in France: at the base of his work there was the realization of metal objects for domestic use coated with another metal in order to protect it from corrosion. The different models of chairs, armchairs, stools and metal furniture (rust-proof, sturdy and stackable) conceived by Xavier Pauchard found a place directly inside factories, offices and hospitals, as well as outside, on the terraces of cafes and parks public.
